Other than playing guitar for Daily Bread on Sunday mornings, Sunday is my day of rest. I kick back, watch NASCAR and any other races my Tivo has for me. Breakfast consisted of two scrambled eggs, with a small sausage patty mixed in. For lunch I hit up Taco Bell for 4 tacos with no lettuce. Yeah, I could have chose something healthier, but it complied with my diet and I was really hungry after church. For snacks I had some cashews, 6 or 7 pieces of beef jerky, and a small hand full of stale tortilla chips.

About 3 o’clock I was actually feeling like i wanted to hit the gym for some cardio, but I was at home on mother-in-law watch. By the time the wife got home, the desire had passed.

Speaking of the wife, she decided to bake some fresh homemade bread for her in the kids. I nearly died. I LOVE fresh bread and the smell of it baking nearly drove me insane. Half a loaf sits on the counter taunting me as I type this.

For dinner I decided on a couple chili dogs, sans buns. It’s simple and quick. Put a can of Dennison’s Fat-Free Beef Chili on the stove, slice a couple hot dogs length wise and drop them on the grill, and grab a couple slices of reduced-fat cheese. I only use half of the chili and save the rest for another meal.

I ended the evening with a sliced apple to chase my meds down.
