Lady Mrs. Zombie still wasn’t up for an evening power walk, so I spent some quality time with Mr. Nordrick elliptical for another evening distraction. The fifth challenge of the Sweatember Walking Challenge took me to the Scottish Highlands for a hike through Beinn Alligin. Beinn Alligin is one of the classic mountains of the Torridon region, just north of Loch Torridon. The hike was led by none other than actor Graham McTavish (Dwalin from The Hobbit), making it all the more epic. This also marked the second workout in the Embrace The Journey Challenge series.
I might have been getting a little cocky, thinking about bumping up to Intermediate workouts. This was not only the longest yet, clocking in at 39 minutes, but it had serious incline and resistance. A good chunk of it was maxed out at level 20 for both! Still, I pushed through like a true undead warrior.
I survived, and now I’m settling in for the night. Fingers crossed I can rise from the dead once again at 6 a.m. to finish off the Sweatember challenge in the morning. Stay tuned…
