I’m getting close to declaring a streak here! Once again, I clawed myself out of the grave at 6 a.m. and shuffled through the dark into this zombie’s torture chamber to greet my old friend, Mr. Nordrick Elliptical. This morning, I completed the iFit Sweatember Walking Challenge by finishing the 6th challenge: Spit Rock Speed Play Walk with Stacie Clark. It also marked the fourth of ten workouts in the Turks and Caicos Weight Loss Walking Series. As usual, Stacie kept it motivating, sprinkling in some local history along with those gorgeous views. It almost distracted me from the burn… almost.

But here’s the kicker—last night’s cardio session must’ve worked some magic! According to my Apple Watch, I was in bed for 7 hours 49 minutes, and I slept for 7 hours and 43 minutes. That’s a sleep score of 90—my personal best! I’m giving all the credit to that late-night cardio.

I really hope I can keep this up because these morning sessions are giving me the energy boost I need to drag myself through the day. Apparently, those late-night sessions might help me sleep through the night, too. But I have to be careful not to go too hard in the mornings. The last thing I want is to overdo it and remain a zombie all day. A nice 20-30 minutes at a walking pace is all I need—and honestly, all I want.
