Morning Check-In:
After a night of meditations, I thought I’d be in for some quality shut-eye, but my plans took a turn when one of our cats made a break for it. Spent a good 20 minutes chasing that furball before getting back into the grave. Still, the meditation helped me fall asleep once I finally settled in. But as always, a full night’s rest remained elusive—7 hours, 36 minutes in the crypt, but only 4 hours, 37 minutes of actual sleep with 76% efficiency. Figuring out these sleep stats is still a work in progress.
I got out of the grave at 6 a.m., a little groggy, but ready for my BP check and weigh in. BP was a bit high today, 123/80, but nothing to lose an arm over (already lost one!). Jumped on Mr. NordicTrack Elliptical and knocked out the Boston City Harvard Walk from the Boston Walking Series. Decent workout, but I didn’t really target those higher zones.

- Calories Burned: 193
- Avg Heart Rate: 105 bpm (max 117 bpm)
Afternoon Check-In:
I’ll admit, I’ve been feeling pretty cranky today, likely linked to my morning weigh-in not going as planned. But no point in dwelling on that until the weekly recap. For now, just pushing through the day with that classic undead resolve.
Evening Check-In:
For my evening torture session, I did a core strength training routine with Peloton’s Logan Aldridge and Matty Maggiacomo. The side planks and farmer carries are starting to grow on me… though I’ll never say I enjoy them. Followed that up with a tough interval walk with iFIT’s Chris Clark on Mr. NordicTrack. It was a challenging RPE of 7-8, but my heart rate told a different story, sticking closer to Zone 3 during the pushes.
Here’s the breakdown:
- Core Strength (20 min):
- Total Time: 22:26 min
- Calories Burned: 109
- Heart Rate Zones:
- 2 min in Zone 3
- 21 sec in Zone 4
- Turks & Caicos Walk:
- Time: 22:42 min
- Distance: 1.57 mi
- Calories Burned: 216
- Avg Heart Rate: 130 bpm (max 143 bpm)
Total Workout Time: 1 hour 16 minutes
Total Calories Burned: 518 kcal
I’m going to give the meditation another shot tonight and see if I can get more rest. Time will tell. Until then, this zombie’s ready to shuffle off to the grave.
