Well here I am at 211 pounds. I can’t even remember how long it’s been since I weighed this little. Overall, I’m really pleased with my progress. However, as my workout has intensified I have been finding myself a little low on energy. Now I know for a fact that I am not taking in enough calories, so I tried to up my intake a bit. Well, that slowed things down. I’m back to my 1200-1400 calorie days. I have 11 pounds to lose before March 5th, so I can get my tattoo.

The little experiment increasing my calorie intake has messed me up a bit though. I am now off track and may miss my goal by a pound. Now everyone says that is not a big deal. But, for me it is huge. I really do not tolerate not meeting commitments, and this is one of the biggest commitments I have ever made to myself. While it is true that I will most likely get my tattoo, after I reach 200 pounds, I will not feel good about it at all if I miss may target date.

I will not let that slow me down, or distract me. In fact I have turned it up a bit and have transitioned from 30 minutes of normal cardio to HIIT (High Impact Interval Training). It’s kicking my ass, but I hope it will push me over the top!

Oh, I should add that, despite being a little low on energy at the gym, I feel better than I have in… well almost as long as I can remember. I actually found myself in a hurry and sprinted from work to the parking garage the other night. I don’t remember ever sprinting when someone wasn’t shooting BBs or throwing snowballs at me!
