Grrr, woke up at 4:05 am, never did get back to sleep. Got up at 5:00 to pee and went back to bed. Up at 6:45 to shower and get ready for work.
Today is weigh-in day. Not a total surprise, lost zero pounds this last week. However lost 3″ of stomach, 1″ off waist, and 2″ off chest. I can see the results, but zero pounds is still frustrating. Yeah, yeah I know muscle weighs more than fat and I’m building muscle mass at the gym. That still doesn’t make me feel better.
I looked back at my notes from 2010. Week 3 I lost 0, week 4 I lost 1, week 5 I lost 2, after that it was somewhat consistent at 3 lbs. per week. So, as I said, somewhat expected.
I didn’t have time for breakfast before leaving work, so I had an apple and 1 serving of trail mix once I got there. About 11:00 I got real hungry and the ol’ stomach was growling away. I had a cheese stick, a couple pieces of beef jerky, and 3 cashews.
I walked to Taco Bell for lunch and had 3 tacos (no lettuce). It’s about a mile round trip and was a nice walk. Since I’ve started this endeavor I have missed my walks to lunch. I’ve just been eating at my desk. I need to work a lunch-time walk into my routine.
I was planning to stop at Taco Bell on my way to my photo club meeting, for dinner. But I was not feeling well at all. I ended up skipping and had an Atkins bar during the meeting. After I got home I had an apple with my meds and 3 slices of cheese before going to bed.
I wasn’t feeling well at all. I’m not entirely sure if the low calories/carb intake resulted in me not feeling well, or if I ate less because I wasn’t feeling well.
